01 / 14  VOICE SERVICE

Your PBX and CRM, working as one system.

When a customer calls, your agent already sees who they are, what they bought, and every past conversation, in the moment the phone rings. No tab switching. No "let me pull up your account."

  • Instant screen-pop with full customer context the moment a call connects
  • Click-to-call from any contact, deal, or ticket in your CRM
  • Auto-logged calls with disposition, duration, and recording link against the right record
  • Platform-agnostic. works with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Dynamics, or a custom CRM

A PBX designed around your business, not someone else's template.

Most Canadian businesses end up on a PBX that was built to fit the broadest possible market and configured by a reseller who touches dozens of accounts a month. The result is a phone system that technically works but never quite fits: extensions numbered in a sequence that makes no sense, call routing that forces receptionists to apologise, and a CRM integration that was quoted as "included" but mysteriously requires a separate project to actually turn on.

We take a different approach. Before we deploy anything, we spend time understanding how calls actually move through your business today, where they get dropped, and what your team wishes the phones could do. Then we build you a PBX that reflects your workflow, with custom extension plans, business-hour rules that match your actual hours, CRM integration that your sales team will use because it was designed with them in the room.

Platform-agnostic by design. We work with FreePBX, Asterisk, 3CX, Issabel, Vicidial, and custom builds. The right platform for your business depends on your scale, your compliance requirements, and your appetite for self-hosting. We'll recommend what fits, not what we have a reseller margin on.

What's included

Fifteen capabilities, engineered to work together.

Every feature below is implemented, documented, and tested during delivery. Nothing is left as "configurable later" or hidden behind an upcharge after go-live.

Core platform & deployment

The PBX itself, deployed on infrastructure you can see, and architected so growth and change don't trigger a rebuild.

Custom PBX server deployment
On-premise, cloud, or hybrid PBX
Extension and user management
Agent management
Secure remote access
Multi-site topology

Call handling & routing

The rules that decide where every call goes, built to match your actual business hours, team structure, and escalation paths.

Call routing and business-hour rules
IVR integration (multi-level menus)
Queue and ring-group configuration
Holiday and after-hours routing
Failover and overflow rules
Click-to-call CRM integration

Recording, monitoring & analytics

Visibility into every call. Not just the raw log, but the dashboards your managers actually open in weekly reviews.

Call recording (inbound, outbound, selective)
Call monitoring and whisper/barge coaching
Call history and reporting
Custom management dashboards
Call analytics (duration, outcome, cost)
Custom CRM integration
API and third-party integrations
Who it's for

Four kinds of businesses that need this.

Each of these scenarios is where a custom PBX pays for itself inside the first year. If none of them sound like you, say so and we'll tell you honestly whether PBX is the right starting point.

Growing contact centre

You've outgrown your current platform

Your call volume has doubled, per-seat fees have become painful, and the platform you started on doesn't support the queues, dashboards, or reporting your team now needs. A custom PBX removes the per-seat ceiling and gives you the agent and supervisor tooling of a mid-market contact centre at a flat monthly cost.

Multi-site business

You run offices in multiple cities

Transfers between locations should be a four-digit extension, not a long-distance call. A unified PBX with site-to-site trunking means your Vancouver office and your Toronto office appear as one phone system to your customers, with centralised reporting and consistent IVR handling across every location.

Remote-first team

Your team works from home full-time

Remote agents on a cloud or hybrid PBX get the same features as agents in an office: the same extension, the same call recording, the same supervisor visibility. Softphone and mobile apps mean someone taking a call in a home office is indistinguishable from someone in a cubicle, and the audit trail covers both equally.

Regulated industry

You need to own your call data

Financial services, healthcare, legal, and insurance organisations often cannot have call recordings sitting in a vendor's cloud of unknown jurisdiction. On-premise or Canadian-hosted private PBX means recordings stay in a bucket you control, with retention policies you set, and encryption keys you hold.

Deployment choice

On-premise, cloud, or hybrid.

Three valid architectures, each with real trade-offs. The right answer depends on your compliance posture, your IT team's capacity, and how much capital versus operating expense you prefer. We'll walk through the choice with you, and this table is where the conversation usually starts.

  On-premise Hybrid Cloud
Where it runs Your server, your rack Core on-premise, failover in cloud Our Canadian-region hosting
Capex vs opex Higher upfront, lower monthly Moderate upfront, moderate monthly Zero upfront, higher monthly
Data sovereignty Full control Full control Canadian-region guarantee
Needs internal IT Light touch, we handle most Light touch, we handle most None required
Scales to new site Hardware shipment Spin up remote extension Spin up remote extension
Survives internet outage Yes, internal calls continue Yes, internal calls continue No, system is offline
Best for Regulated, 100+ extensions, stable sites Most mid-market businesses Fully remote teams, under 50 users
How we deliver

Four phases, named practitioners end to end.

The engineer who scopes your platform is the engineer who builds it, documents it, and is on the on-call rotation when it needs attention. No level-one handoff, no "that was discovery, this is delivery" surprise.

PHASE 01

Discovery

Week 1

Workshop with your operations lead and a sample of frontline users. We map how calls move today, what breaks, and what your team wishes the phones could do. Deliverable is a one-page workflow diagram, not a 60-slide deck.

PHASE 02

Design

Week 2

Platform choice (FreePBX, Asterisk, 3CX, custom), extension plan, routing logic, CRM integration points, security model. You sign off on each decision before we touch a server.

PHASE 03

Build

Weeks 3-6

PBX deployed on your chosen infrastructure. Routing rules, IVR trees, queues, and recording policies configured and tested. CRM integration wired. Cutover plan agreed with your IT team and your carrier.

PHASE 04

Run

Ongoing

Managed service transition. Your team gets documented runbooks, monthly standing review calls, and 24/7 incident response. The engineer who built it is the one who answers at 2 a.m.

Platforms & integrations

Whatever your stack, we work with it.

We build on proven open-source cores where it serves you, commercial platforms where they're the better fit, and integrate with whatever CRM, ticketing, or business system your team already uses.

Common questions

What buyers ask before they commit.

Direct answers to the six questions we hear in nearly every PBX conversation.

How long before our PBX is live?
A straightforward deployment for 20-50 extensions on a single site takes three to four weeks end to end: one week of discovery and design, two to three weeks of build and configuration, then a weekend cutover. A multi-site deployment with heavy CRM integration and custom IVR runs six to eight weeks. We give you a dated plan in week one and hold ourselves to it.
Will we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. Number porting between carriers is included in nearly every deployment. We handle the paperwork with your current provider, schedule the cutover for your lowest-traffic window, and keep the old service running in parallel until the new one is verified. For businesses with hundreds of DIDs, porting usually happens in planned batches over a two-to-three-week window.
What happens if the PBX goes down?
On-premise and hybrid deployments survive internet outages for internal calling. For external calls, we build in automatic failover: SIP trunks fail over to a backup carrier, inbound numbers route to mobile or an answering service during an outage. 24/7 incident response is included with every managed-service engagement, and the engineer who built your system is on the on-call rotation.
Do we own the PBX, or do you?
You do. The server, the configuration, the recordings, the extensions, the CRM integration code, all of it belongs to your organisation. If you ever choose to end the engagement, we hand over documentation, admin credentials, and a continuity plan. We've never had a client make that choice, but the option is contractually yours from day one.
How is pricing structured?
Deployment is quoted as a fixed project fee based on your users, extensions, locations, and integration depth. The ongoing managed service is a flat monthly fee that covers platform maintenance, 24/7 incident response, routine changes, and standing review meetings. Calling costs (minutes, DIDs, SMS) pass through at carrier rates with no markup. You see exactly what the carrier charges and exactly what you pay us.
Can we start small and scale up later?
Yes, and this is the usual pattern. Most deployments start with a core set of users and locations in phase one, then add sites, departments, or new integrations in subsequent phases. The platform is architected from day one to scale from 10 extensions to 2,000+ without a rebuild. Adding users or sites later is configuration work, not a new project.
Start with a conversation

Tell us how your calls move today.

Thirty minutes with a practitioner, not a sales rep. We'll walk through your current platform, where it breaks, and what a custom PBX would look like for your business. If PBX isn't the right starting point, we'll say so.
