Cloud calling without the cloud-provider roulette.

Most "cloud PBX" offerings are a thin management layer sitting on top of AWS or Azure in the US. When you ask where your call data lives, you get a careful answer about data processing agreements and a vague gesture at Canadian endpoints. For regulated industries, finance, healthcare, legal, government, that is not a defensible answer.

We host cloud calling infrastructure in Canadian data centres, operated by Canadian providers, under Canadian privacy law. Toronto primary, Montreal secondary, Vancouver tertiary. Replication is cross-region but never cross-border. Recordings, call detail records, voicemails, every byte stays in Canada and the data-residency receipts are auditable.

The platform underneath is purpose-built for voice workloads, not generic cloud compute. SIP timing, codec negotiation, media relay, and failover orchestration are engineered end-to-end rather than cobbled from AWS primitives. You get the elasticity of cloud without the voice-quality compromises that come from running SIP on infrastructure that was built for HTTP.

What's included

Fifteen capabilities, operated by us.

Every feature below is managed on your behalf: deployment, monitoring, patching, backup, failover, and the 2 a.m. incident response. You use the service, we run the infrastructure.

Multi-tenant or dedicated hosts
Voice-optimized compute
Dedicated media gateway nodes
Cross-region replication
Auto-scaling capacity

Resilience & failover

Health-checked instances, automatic failover, backup and restore, DDoS protection. The system that keeps your calls up when something goes wrong somewhere.

Automatic multi-region failover
99.95% uptime SLA with credits
Daily automated backups
Point-in-time restore
DDoS protection at edge
24/7 monitored incident response

Management & visibility

Admin portal, usage reporting, call-quality monitoring (MOS), audit logs, API access. Everything you need to run the service without logging a ticket.

Who it's for

Four scenarios where cloud calling fits.

Not every business needs managed cloud calling. These are the situations where the maths actually works out in your favour.

Multi-site growth

You are opening new sites and tired of racking gear

Every new office currently needs a PBX appliance shipped, racked, cabled, and provisioned on-site. With cloud calling, a new site is a VLAN, a phone registration, and a 20-minute remote configuration. The capex per site drops to zero and the time-to-live drops from weeks to hours.

Regulated industry

You need Canadian data residency with an audit trail

Your compliance team or regulator requires that call data, recordings, and metadata never leave Canada. Most "cloud PBX" providers cannot give you that guarantee in writing. We can, with the data processing agreement, the architecture diagram, and the auditor-ready documentation to prove it.

Capex avoidance

You do not want to own voice hardware anymore

Your current on-prem PBX is approaching end-of-life and the replacement quote is six figures. Cloud calling converts that capex into opex, eliminates the hardware refresh cycle, and includes patching, backup, and 24/7 monitoring in the monthly fee. The budget predictability alone is often the win.

Resilience upgrade

Your single-site PBX is a continuity risk

Your current PBX lives in a closet in head office. When head office loses power, every site loses phones. Cloud calling with multi-region failover means a regional outage is a 30-second blip, not a day-long incident. For businesses where phones are revenue, this is the cheapest insurance you can buy.

The SLA

What we commit to, in writing.

SLAs are only meaningful if they come with service credits that hurt the provider when they are breached. Ours do.

99.95%

Uptime

Monthly uptime commitment with service credits for every hour of unplanned downtime.

30s

Failover

Automatic region failover completes in under 30 seconds, no mid-call drops.

15min

P1 response

Priority 1 incidents acknowledged in 15 minutes, 24/7/365, by a human engineer.

4.3+

MOS target

Call-quality MOS score maintained above 4.3, measured on every connected call.

How we deliver

Four phases, zero-downtime cutover.

Migrating voice from on-prem to cloud is the kind of project that can go very badly very quickly. We design the engagement so your old PBX keeps running until the new one is verified working for every user.

PHASE 01

Design

Week 1

Current-state audit of your voice environment, capacity sizing, region selection, network path analysis. Deliverable is an architecture diagram and migration runbook.

PHASE 02

Provision

Weeks 2-3

Cloud infrastructure stood up, PBX instance deployed, SIP trunks connected, admin portal access configured. Your current environment keeps running untouched.

PHASE 03

Pilot

Week 4

Pilot group of users moved to the cloud instance in parallel with on-prem. Call-quality validated, failover tested, feature parity confirmed. Go/no-go decision before full cutover.

PHASE 04

Cutover

Weeks 5-6

Full migration in planned batches by site or department. Old environment stays warm for 30 days as fallback. Managed operations hand-off and runbook delivery close the engagement.

Common questions

What buyers ask before they commit.

Direct answers to the six questions we hear in nearly every cloud calling conversation.

How do we know our data really stays in Canada?
We provide a written data residency commitment as part of the service agreement, with the data processing agreement, architecture diagram, and data flow documentation attached. The infrastructure is operated by Canadian providers in Canadian data centres under Canadian privacy law. Replication is explicitly configured to be cross-region within Canada, never cross-border. If your auditor needs to see the receipts, we have them.
What happens during a regional outage?
If the Toronto primary region goes offline, traffic fails over to Montreal within 30 seconds. Users with calls in progress at the moment of failover may hear a brief audio glitch but the call stays connected because media is relayed through the secondary region. New calls route normally. Users do not need to do anything. Our 24/7 operations team is on the incident before you notice.
Can we move off your service if we need to?
Yes, contractually and practically. We provide an export of your configuration, recordings, voicemails, and call detail records at any point during or at the end of the engagement, in standard formats. The underlying platform is open-source (FreePBX / Asterisk-based) which means your admin configurations are portable to any provider or self-hosted deployment. No proprietary data formats, no exit tax.
How is this different from Microsoft Teams Phone or Zoom Phone?
Teams Phone and Zoom Phone are consumer-grade cloud calling bolted onto their collaboration platforms, with US data centres and limited admin control. Our service is a full-featured PBX (every call-flow feature you expect, call recording, custom IVR, dialer integration) hosted on Canadian infrastructure with full admin access. Teams and Zoom are right for simple use cases. We are right for complex ones.
How is pricing structured?
Monthly fee based on concurrent-channel capacity, number of extensions, and feature tier (multi-tenant vs dedicated). SIP trunking and DIDs are billed separately at carrier pass-through rates. One-time migration fee covers design, provisioning, and cutover. No per-minute charges on on-net calls, no "enterprise feature" paywalls.
What is your incident response actually like?
A Priority 1 incident (service down for one or more customers) is acknowledged in 15 minutes 24/7 by an on-call engineer, not a level-1 queue. The engineer who responds has operations-side access to your environment and can act, not just open a ticket. Status updates every 30 minutes until resolved. Post-incident report within 48 hours. We publish our actual response times each quarter.
